1006 Le Chai Urbain de Vins de Loire 

“The Loire River runs 1006 kilometres from its source to the ocean, from grapes to glass 1006 crafts natural wines in its urban winery in Angers reflecting terroirs from the Loire valley”.

The focus with 1006 is not only showcasing Loire terroir but also grapes varieties that are typical of the Loire and also curating long-term relationships with growers who employ organic and environmentally friendly practices in the vineyards. Pauline then crafts wines that are approachable and pure with a very natural approach, using native yeasts and minimal use of sulphur.

2022 Minuit (Folle Blanche - Pet Nat)

From single plot granite soils in Muscadet with an Oceanic climate. About 30 year old vines. Manual harvest, slow pressing, spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, made pét nat method undisgorged.

Real, a little wild, and endlessly refreshing . A perfect patio pour alternative to a straightforward sparkling.

2022 Myosotis (Pinot Gris - Orange)

From single plot in Coteaux d'Ancenis. In gneiss and orthogneiss soils with oceanic climate. Manual harvest, 15 days maceration, 100% destemmed, spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, aged for 8 months. Textured but still approachable and Orange wine is always such a great gastronomic choice.

2022 Persan (Pineau d'Aunis - Red)

A plot of Pineau d'Aunis located at Thorigné la Rochette in the 
Coteaux du Vendômois.  Flinty clay soils on limestone bedrock (Turonian chalk). 
Temperate climate with oceanic and continental influences.
Thirty-year-old vines. Viticulture respectful of the environment, certified organic. Hand-harvested, whole-cluster maceration and direct pressing (30%) for 11 days. Spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, aged for 9 months in concrete tanks.
