Clos Marie is ran by Christophe Peyrus tucked away in the rugged hills of Pic St Loup in the Languedoc.
The wines have this beguiling structure and stand out immediately in a region where traditional winemaking is big, bold reds and fatty, rich whites. Christophe seems to have harnessed the local terroir with native varietals and minimal intervention winemaking - reds that taste more like Northern Rhone and whites that have a mineral, Mediterranean crispy edge.
This fully converted to biodynamic and are some of the most natural wines in our portfolio.
Expect purity of fruit with no new wood, wild fruit flavours from slow, whole-cluster fermentations, and rustic spice from the unfiltered, low sulphur style.
