 Explore Rheingau Riesling through three single-site expressions from August Kesseler’s finest vineyards.

• Vineyards designated Erste Lage or “first position” are the top sites of the region and the 2020 Rudesheimer Bischofsberg is no exception. An introduction to August Kesseler’s single-site cuvées, it’s refreshing and mineral with generous fruit and an utterly classic example of Rheingau Riesling.

• The 2020 Berg Schlossberg features some of the Kesseler estate’s oldest vines (hence the “Alte Reben” designation on the label), lending the cuvee a step up in power and concentration. Creamy with ripe apple and candied peach, don’t take our word for it – it’s August Kesseler’s favourite wine of the 2020 vintage!

• The 2019 Lorchhausen Seligmacher is from one of August Kesseler’s finest sites; the most northernly vineyard in the Rheingau, it’s a dry and powerful Grosses Gewächs with signature Riesling aromatics; ripe stone and tropical fruits, kaleidoscopic florals and orange peel, awash in precise minerality.
