August Kesseler only makes Riesling and Pinot Noir at his Rheingau estate, and these three selections offer a chance to see what makes them some of the region’s best.
- The 2020 Rüdesheim Riesling is just a hint off-dry – about 8 g/L of residual sugar that brings generosity balanced by beautiful acidity and soft stone fruits. A perfect summation of the Kesseler house style.
- The single-vineyard 2019 Lorchhausen Seligmacher is one of August Kesseler’s finest sites; the most northernly vineyard in the Rheingau, it’s a dry and powerful Grosses Gewächs with signature Riesling aromatics; ripe peaches, kaleidoscopic florals and orange peel, awash in precise minerality.
- The 2019 Momentum Gaudeo is all about harmony. Dark cherries, rose petals and spice, accented with the savoury, forest-floor qualities that define Kesseler’s Pinot Noir style.
